It appears that Paul McCartney and Youth did cancel their appearance as the Fireman on Later with Jools Holland. "F" informed me last week that the Goldmine Trash blog reported that they had pulled out in order for Paul to rehearse for his performance in Israel. I don't know why it was canceled, but I'm pretty sure that the official reason has nothing to do with the real reason.
I'm a little concerned about the Fireman project. I still have not seen a release date for the album and there have been some significant changes at the Hear Music Label, which released Paul's last album "Memory Almost Full." I haven't seen anything from Capitol either about the project. The charity song, "Lifelong Passion" and the collaboration with Nitin Sawhney titled "My Soul" could be the closest things we get this year to a Fireman album. But anything could happen. If these one off concerts really are the lead in to his final world tour, it would make sense to delay the release of new recordings.
The Israel concert is making worldwide news, particularly after someone reported that Paul had received threats from terrorists. Headlines like "Paul McCartney promises Israel gig will go ahead despite death threats" are unsettling to fans. But, WorldNetDaily offered some comforting news: "Expert: No credible threat against Paul McCartney."
Fans of John Lennon, especially those who believe he is still alive will be comforted to hear that he continues to produce new artwork.
The Abbeyrd Beatles News site has been following Yoko Ono's 100 acorns blog. In the spirit of her book "Grapefruit," Yoko continues to provide instructions to make our lives more meaningful. Another point. A few of you thought I was perhaps Paul McCartney. Don't you feel a little silly? I didn't even lead you on. Well, not intentionally. Do you remember my one video? The one where I gave credit to my son James? I really do have a son named James, and he actually helped me with MS Movie Maker. I had never used MSMM before, and I told him he would be mentioned for helping. See how people can turn things into something they are not? It's easy.
That takes me to "Sir Larry Mildew". Yea, that is not my name. Odd story though. I had a no-nonsense Army friend that wasn't too keen on this other person. He just plain didn't like him; he was very annoying. Every time he saw this guy, he would call him Larry Mildew. His name wasn't Larry... not even close. When we asked where he came up with Larry Mildew, he said one night he was laying in his bunk, looking at the ceiling. He saw a stain, a mildew stain. It was then he realized the guy he didn't like was much like that mildew stain. Enter Larry Mildew. I know...I didn't explain why "Larry". Couldn't tell you. He must have just liked the name. I used the name because it is funny and reminds me of my youth. I added "Sir" to the beginning because I am a man, not a knight.

So that's what was in the garbage bag that was in the suitcase that was left by CERN that was left by the phoney that killed the cow that ate the rat that bit the cat that charmed the maid that lived by the pond that was near to the lake where Jimmy Page lived and was found in the house that "Jack" built! (Wink, wink)
Unfortunately 'Sir Larry Mildew' you are right - some (most?) will dismiss everything you just said and this will simply go on and on...and on.....and on.....
Fast forward 6 months. I can see iaap leaving a facsimile of an etching of a photograph of the contents of a suitcase in the back garden of someone who helped build the LHC. On the back of the facsimile is a cryptic new clue and a date...many more months into the future. People will still be buying it.
Imaphoney is great entertainment, i love the whole PID/Faul business. I would think it is Macca behind it because he loves all the macabre bits and would do anything for the edge his music sometimes lacks, tho he's brilliant. What proves Macca is not behind imaphoney and what finally spoils imaphoney's work is the shitty original music.
