A hodgepodge today...

Just some random thoughts about this ARG (Alternate Reality Game) business.

Someone suggested that in terms of Iamaphoney, the Alternate Reality Game scenario is the only one that makes sense logically. I disagree with that slightly. My opinion is that the ARG scenario is another of the ever growing list of scenarios that don't make sense logically. I have yet to find a scenario that makes sense.

There is no question that once the suitcase entered the picture it became a game. But has it always been one? I don't know much about Alternate Reality Games. Does it generally take over a year and nearly 100 videos to get one going? If this is the answer, I do think that the Paul Is Dead rumor and the music of John, Paul, George and Ringo, collectively and individually, make an excellent playing field. I would choose to be a spectator instead of a player. From the looks of a recent post, I think that 65if2007 feels the same way. However, if the truth be told, I still envy him for finding that briefcase. YES, I know it is a briefcase and not a suitcase.

Perhaps this all started when a guy named Bill (AKA Iamaphoney #1), joined Nothing Is Real a couple years ago and said he wanted to get to the bottom of the Paul Is Dead mystery. Then a Beatles insider murdered him and started making stylized videos with the intention of gradually revealing the secret. Then the Tavistock Institute found out and started adding subliminal cuts into his IMovie creations which eventually caused his brain to be reprogrammed. Once the transformation was made and Iamaphoney #2 became a vegetable, Iamaphoney #3 started a campaign destroy all credibility by pretending that it was all an Alternate Reality Game.

I have no idea of what the deal is with this video that showed up on YouTube. Why would low resolution black & white IAAP material be found on a sub-board?

Back on earth it looks like Paul McCartney is gearing up for another flurry of activity. He added another concert date fueling rumors of a full tour. The talk of a new album is particularly interesting. He is working with Youth (member of Killing Joke and his partner on the two Fireman projects) but his freaky self seems to be merging with his regular self. In other words, this project should have songs with real lyrics. I think I sense the situation when I say that this could give us a lot to talk about.

The latest issue of Beatlefan has two interviews with May Pang. I was hoping that they would ask her about John Lennon's infamous Roman Polanski outburst, but they didn't. More May is planned for the next issue.

Iamaphoney started out on TKIN and his messages are still up there from 2 years ago I think so I personally don't think it's an ARG.The original messages are interesting in that right from the start he was absolving Manson from guilt and claiming the Beatles put messages in the music to brainwash Manson. As an important aside I've noticed that the subject of mental illness is hardly ever addressed by the PID camp when it comes to Manson or M.D.Chapman for that matter. It's always someone else's fault or they were brainwashed or it's part of vast NWO conspiracy. It does not surprise me that among the level headed and the curious there are some severe nutjobs on those message boards getting secret messages from dead Paul in their dreams or promoting white supremacist garbage.Looking at his first posts and his first videos I initially surmised that Iamaphoney seemed a little mentally unstable himself. Then something happened and the whole series quickly got a budget and Iamaphoney stopped communicating and began cultivating a mystique. If he had just been a headcase all along I would've stopped watching but it's the organization that now seems to have control of the series that I'm most interested in.And if that sounds like a conspiracy theory than I guess it is!

It seems as though the enterprise shifted to an ARG (or ARG-like PID thing) a few videos prior to the treasure hunt. I suppose the collective sat back and thought, "Well, we don't have any real evidence, and we're tiring of listening to White Album backward for clues, so why don't we turn it into a game, that way we can say it was planned all along and turn the tables on them."

Aja is correct. "Bill," like a lot of conspiracy theorists, thinks like Manson, that is, he has read into the Beatles a lot more than was probably ever there. Notice the posts on the IAAP site from conspiracy minded folks who always want to turn any topic into a NWO-alien thing. The series could have been about Mickey Mouse and someone would still end up saying it's all part of the NWO.

So ...this is the end?

Hi Pablo. Thanks for identifying yourself. That was an outstanding question. I think that same question was asked in 1966. I confess that I have written and rejected several responses to your question because they all sounded too cryptic. The fact is I really am an outsider and have no secrets about which to be cryptic. If we are trying to find out what happened, then the end occurred long before either of us arrived. It happened many years ago and so we have no reason to feel bad. It all depends on your destination. The bad news is that there is nothing in the game plan that promises the end will be satisfying. The good news is that you get to decide when it ends. My decision is that I am trying to get two more posts on here before the end of April Fools Month. I have played the fool as openly and honestly as I could. I guess we'll see what happens.

Tafultong why not just contact someone from Apple or EMI?Like the ones that appeared at the Beatle convention in Las Vegas where Iamaphoney did some of his interviews for the RA series. It's not hard to do and they are accessible.

Pablo the end happened in 1966 when the Beatles gave up touring and although they did not know it at the time they fractured the group unity that they had built up since 1958.Combine that with drug use,ego and fans that wanted them to write I Want To Hold Your Hand forever and who mistake surrealism for evil and you have your answer.

Surrealism?
Here's a famous story for you all:Famous film director Orson Welles while shooting the picture The Other Side Of The Wind ordered his prop manager to stick a stop sign in the middle of the highway and have his cameraman film it.Afterwards when the cameraman asked Orson what he was trying to say with that stop sign he said "Long after I'm gone critics will be writing for years about the significance of the stop sign in the middle of the highway and I'll be in my grave laughing my head off because I'll be the only one who knows it doesn't mean anything!"

i can't help but notice the effects added on top of the new "old pid" footage looks very similar to the clips included in the recent queen of cosmania hoax material.

i know "jude" was working with at least one other person on that, but i'm not sure their identity was ever revealed in the aftermath.

i still have a feeling that following this particular trail will lead to the IAAP group themselves...
