Some were initially disappointed by the last Rotten Apple, Number 55m, but I think it was misunderstood. In the official McCartney semi-autobiography "Many Years From Now" Co-Author Barry Miles talks about the pictures that would become the covers of 1962-1966 and 1967-1970 (Interesting where they split the history, isn't it?). Miles says, "That staircase itself became a monument..." All new bands that signed with EMI wanted their picture taken there. And in 1995, when EMI moved offices to west London, the company carefully disassembled the stairwell and took it with them. It seems to be treated as Hallowed Ground.
A strange development happened today that may be nothing. Keep an eye on http://www.youtube.com/APAULCORPSE
Could be just a troublemaker or it could be something. As of now, nothing new to those who have been paying attention.
Finally if you are one of those people who see a connection between this mystery and the band Pink Floyd, I don't think you are alone.
