New Iamaphoney Song and New GFA Video

UPDATE: Speaking of the Beatles and the Bahamas, have you ever heard this story from John Rook?

A few months later in February of 1965, Chuck Brinkman and I were invited to join the Beatles in the Bahamas where they were filming “Help”. I have many memories of that "vacation" but one clearly stands out in my mind. "The Boys" with their well known mischievous streak decided to have some "fun" by wrecking the MG sports car they had been provided. Together they lifted the rear of the card up on two cement cinder blocks, one below each side of the back bumper, and then took delight in starting the motor, laying a brick on the gas peddle and pushing it off the cement blocks for the unattended car to gather speed crashing into a solid cement wall. This was done over and over until the MG no longer could "make the trip" to the wall. With each crash "the boys" leaped for joy squealing in delight cheering on the death of the MG. Source

For some unknown reason, Ringo Starr is promoting a new recording of a Beatles Outfake from the early days of Contra Band Bootlegs. Oh, wait a minute. I don't mean Ringo Starr, the former Beatle who is releasing a new CD called "Y Not." I am referring to RlNGOSTARR, who released a new video on YouTube called "Peace of Mind."

In a similar vein, Paul McCartney has an official video on YouTube for his new song "I Want To Come Home." But PauIMcCartney of YouTube fame also has an official video for "I Want To Come Home." Only your pause button will know the difference.

It never ceases to amaze me how Grandfather Aleister is able to delve deeply into the minutiae of Beatles History and find the most uncanny connections. His latest effort under the name 999nowhereman is titled Paul is Dead - Sam Ahab is Bahamas Backwards Part 1. GFA is in great form.

And many thanks to MikeyNL for keeping up with and sharing the large amount of Iamaphoney audio material. He quickly gave us a crisp sounding version of "Peace of Mind" and several others on his Iamaphoneymusic page.

I went postal on my daddy
I went postal on my mom
I went postal on my brothers
And my sisters got the bomb
They weren't expecting me
To pull my stamps out of the drawer
Now I don't think they like me anymore

I wrote them all a letter
Full of fire, ten pages wide
I told them what I thought
About the bull they'd tried to hide
They didn't want to chew my beef
They didn't like my tale
I dropped Pandora's Box in the U.S. Mail

I went postal on my daddy
I went postal on my mom
I went postal on my brothers
And my sisters got the bomb
They weren't expecting me
To pull my stamps out of the drawer
Now I don't think they like me anymore

I didn't swing to make it bleed
I only beat my drum
And no one got their feelings broke
Except the guilty ones
They should have seen me coming
But they only felt my nails
I hammered them with words in the U.S. Mail

I went postal on my daddy
I went postal on my mom
I went postal on my brothers
And my sisters got the bomb
They weren't expecting me
To pull my stamps out of the drawer
Now I don't think they like me anymore

They talk and mock the messenger
For saying what is so
They ask me but the answers
They don't really want to know
I say I'm sorry if the truth hurts
But the truth is not for sale
I flipped it off to you in the U.S. Mail

I went postal on my daddy
I went postal on my mom
I went postal on my brothers
And my sisters got the bomb
They weren't expecting me
To pull my stamps out of the drawer
Now I don't think they like me anymore

Harriet Shaw Weaver (1 September 1876 – 14 October 1961) was a political activist and a magazine editor. She also became the patron of James Joyce.

In 1913 it was renamed The New Freewoman. Later that year at the suggestion of the magazine's literary editor, Ezra Pound, the name was changed again to The Egoist. During the following years Weaver made more financial donations to the periodical, becoming more involved with its organisation and also becoming its editor.

The Exploding Plastic Inevitable, sometimes simply called Plastic Inevitable or EPI, was a series of multimedia events organized by Andy Warhol between 1966 and 1967, featuring musical performances by The Velvet Underground and Nico, screenings of Warhol's films, and dancing and performances by regulars of Warhol's Factory, especially Mary Woronov and Gerard Malanga.
The Exploding Plastic Inevitable had its beginnings in an event staged on January 13, 1966 at a dinner for the New York Society for Clinical Psychiatry. This event, called "Up-Tight", included performances by The Velvet Underground and Nico, along with Malanga and Edie Sedgwick as dancers. Inaugural shows were held at the Dom in New York City in April 1966, advertised in The Village Voice as follows: "The Silver Dream Factory Presents The Exploding Plastic Inevitable with Andy Warhol/The Velvet Underground/and Nico."

Nico's Last Concert said...

Except for the album's closing song (which was previously released on The End), Nico and her backing band The Faction composed all pieces specifically for the show, during which they were accompanied by optical effects and Moon-themed projected pictures and films.

As the title of the album indicates, the concert turned out to be Nico's last, and the material on the album is among the last she (co-)wrote. She died on July 18 that year while on vacation in Ibiza.

Drama of Exile
Drama of Exile or The Drama of Exile are titles used to refer to two rock albums by Nico recorded in 1981. The first album was originally recorded in April and May. The second album is a re-recording of the first one, recorded in May. The album featured a Middle Eastern rhythm section and was produced by Corsican reggae bassist Philippe Quilichini.

The original album was plagued by suspicious circumstances. There are different versions of the story, and the truth remains ambiguous.

During the recording a sound engineer stole the unfinished record and sold it to the company Aura which released it immediately. Of course we sued them. We re-recorded the album but the court trial took forever. I had neither money nor strength to go on. The most commonly sold version of Drama Of Exile is unauthorized. We released the original form with Invisible Records but only in a very small edition and so it’s more a collector’s item.

Camera Obscura (Darkened Chamber) is the name of an experimental avant-garde music album recorded and released by Nico in 1985. It was produced by John Cale. It was Nico's final studio album before her death three years later. Her vocal style is considerably different from her prior records. "Tananore", for instance, strongly hints at Dead Can Dance's Lisa Gerrard. "Das Lied vom einsamen Mädchen" also sounds similar to Dead Can Dance.

Do or Die: Diary 1982 is an album chronicling Nico's European tour from January 18 to March 28, 1982. It features songs from Nico's albums The Marble Index, Desertshore, The End and Drama of Exile, which include covers of The Velvet Underground, David Bowie and The Doors.

It was originally released on cassette in November 1982 under a handful of different titles, including Nico Sings the Void. It was released on compact disc on March 30, 2000.

Dead Can Dance.

Trouser Press described the album as "Nico's disturbing poetry" set to "even more disturbing music; the result is one of the scariest records ever made. Unlike Chelsea Girl, in which Nico tried to adapt to an outmoded chanteuse tradition, The Marble Index blasts her off to her own universe."

The Frozen Borderline - 1968–1970 is a two-disc compilation set of music by Nico, comprising The Marble Index (recorded in 1968, released in 1969) and Desertshore (recorded and released in 1970). The two CDs contain remastered versions of all the tracks from these albums, early/alternate versions of many songs, and two previously unknown tracks.

The last (fourteenth) track of the second CD contains a hidden fifteenth track after ten minutes of silence, which is an alternate version of "Frozen Warnings" (a song from The Marble Index) without the tremulous harmonium, leaving only Nico's vocals and the violins.

Purple Lips Lyrics by Nico

He reminds all the laughter
That has left me going down
And my heart is falling silently
Into the driving evening sound

Sometimes we must keep from bringing
Certain thoughts up to the light
And a matter of the winning
In a case of two lips lies

I have been looking out for him
From over this broken bridge
The safest place it seems to be
To ever reach his purple lips

Vegas Lyrics by Nico

The road that leads you to Vegas
Remains so free
Where men have lost a perfect set
Within so much regret
The turning wheel on every table
Have they told you yet
A formula, a winning scheme
More than you can dream

In a case of crime
In a case of death
Would you have to hold
Have to hold your breath ?
The charges of your sentence
An answer to your key
A switching argument
Condemning
Your damned
To plea

From the black screen of my eyelids
Closing in on you
The image showing me that
It is oh so true
The young man with a wild smile
Like Bonaparte
He's looking like a piece of
Like a piece of art

Sixty/Forty Lyrics by Nico

Will there be another time
Will there be another time
Another year, another wish to stay?

Will there be another time
Will there be another time
Another year, another wish to stay?

When the evening light wants to be so bright
And the morning sound is out of sight
Can there be another word to say
Or do we have to give it all away?

Many moons have to be found
At certain times you'll hear them pound
You can hear the hell bells praying

Many moons have to be found
At certain times you'll hear them pound
You can hear the hell bells praying

It is for granted hear their saying
We are all enchanted staying
Focussing on running down the drain
When those tears are carved inside your brain

New York Lower East Side fame
In a golden circle game
New York Lower East Side frame
New York Lower East Side fame
In a golden circle game
New York Lower East Side frame
Standing everywhere around
The fastest way to be found
At least I've given it away
To keep it only would have made me stay

Will there be another time?
Will there be another time?

Nico's grave said...

Nico was a heroin addict for over 15 years. In the book Songs They Never Play on the Radio, James Young, a member of Nico's band in the 1980s, recalls many examples of Nico's fiendish behaviour due to addiction. But just before her death she had managed to kick the habit and had embarked on a regimen of exercise and healthy eating. Despite her musical talents and singing, she was deaf in one ear, which made it difficult for her to understand what others were saying.[6] She was also said to have been a vegetarian, as well as a self-proclaimed nihilist.[7]

Nico was also well-versed in languages; due to traveling, she spoke four languages (English, French, Italian, Spanish) fluently, in addition to her native German.

On 18 July 1988, while on holiday with her son in Ibiza, Spain, Nico had a minor heart attack while riding a bicycle and hit her head as she fell. A passing taxi driver found her unconscious and had difficulty getting her admitted to local hospitals. She was incorrectly diagnosed as suffering from heat-exposure and died the next day. X-rays later revealed a severe cerebral hemorrhage as the cause of death.[8]

Nico was buried in her mother's plot in Grunewald Forest Cemetery in Berlin, Germany. A few friends played a tape of "Mütterlein", a song from Desertshore, at her funeral.

Oh, I'm sorry, you must be an NIR type that thinks every f-ing song and movie ever produced is about, gee, I don't know, Paul is Dead?

When are you crackpots going to get over it? Death has always been a major theme in art, literature, music. You only prove how obsessive you are when you start thinking you find Death Clues everywhere you look.

This isn't unique to PID. Check out ANY conspiracy theory. Everything is a clue tying in to whatever theory is floating around.

We may find a trace Of a state of grace In the saddest face Something is there How the rivers flow We may never know But it goes to show Something is there This guiding light Will burn so bright So much wonder around us All the love in the air Let the good that surrounds us Help us to always care Then the seeds we sow Will survive and grow And we will all know Something is there This guiding light Will burn so bright So much wonder around us All the love in the air Let the good that surrounds us Help us to always care In this world where ever present dangers Circle round our family heart Like a throng of hostile strangers eager for a war to start There appears a friend's familiar face Oh sweet relief, the heart goes to a warmer place And this we prize And this we hold so dear This humble state of grace And this we prize For this we hold so dear This state of grace We may find a trace Of a state of grace In the saddest face Something is there How the rivers flow We may never know But it goes to show

Please please me, oh yeah, like I please you.

The answer is right there for anyone that LOOKS.

The bluelink nuts haven't got you anywhere have they? (well, he).

The secret for all of you who seek, is not in the masonic-themed sheep, coin, favored son (Prodigal Son) crap. It's all in the very first Beatle single to hit #1, Please Please Me.

everything you need to know about PID, PIA, and a few other things is in that song. Just think about it, LOOK, Listen, and LEARN.

Those two geniuses Paul and John told you the entire secret in that deceptively simple song.

I should know.

you mean this?:

I do all the pleasin' with you, it's so hard to reason
With you, whoah yeah, why do you make me blue?

PS

The Blue links will take you everywhere

....but not every link is true blue....just a few, one for me and two for YOU!

You have found the first clue.

The secret isn't in the blulink pun crap or the please please me crap. The secret to the mystery is lies with the Apple.

Follow the apple, seekers, and you will discover the truth.

I should know.

fake red herring bluelink clues are so 2009. It's time for old skool red herring clues.

The secret, my friends, is with that thing with the coin, sheep and favored son crap.

Keep searching for many years and you will learn the ultimate truth.

I should know, I'm the dude who pretended he was Neil Aspinall, except I'm from the New York area.

I was hoping for at least 2 more years of fake bluelink clues.

hey, this is a top level disinformant. We were told you teenagers and single nerds needed to be disinformed about this band from the 60s.

Frankly, I don't take my job seriously, and it looks like that obsessive dude with the bluelinks is doing my job for me, so I'm taking a nap.

Peace out
