Two More Sgt. Pepper References

Thumb up (George) and back turned on on the back of "Sgt. Pepper."

Thumb up and back turned on "Back in the US/World"

And now, one of my favorites. The clues extend beyond the solo albums into works done with others.

John Lennon produced the album "Pussycats" for Harry Nilsson. The front cover tells us that this is a good place to look for hidden messages. Notice the two blocks on the floor "D" and "S." Notice that in between them is a "R-U-G." Get it?

When we open the gate fold cover of "Pussycats" and look carefully, we see a picture of Harry on a stage with Ringo Starr. Harry is shaking hands with someone in the audience. The person shaking hands with Harry is blocked because another person is holding an album cover out. The album being held up is "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band."

  1. the first picture in your post reminds me of one of my favorite alleged 'pepper' clues:

    -george's hand makes an 'L'
-paul (with his back turned) is 'O' (the eggman/nowhere man)
    -john's hands make a 'V'
    &
    -ringo's hands make an 'E' (?)

...what does that spell? L-O-V-E LOVE of course. nothing you can see that isn't shown, you know! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! :~D

i can't help but see it in a slightly different light now, though, from all the recent crowley-flavored 'LOVE' talk:

'love shall be the whole of the law'

...as in, love is all you need? O_o

  2. Yes, that's why I think Iamaphoney is on to something when he mirrors the word "love" and it becomes "code." Some people read the word "love" in the gate fold picture on Sgt. Pepper as well. Plus, Sgt. Pepper has been a symbol of the "Summer of Love" and the accompanying social changes that resulted from it. This also links to what they chose as the title for the Vegas show. There is so much here.

  4. If i'm not mistaken, Timothy Leary and Charles Manson both claimed that the Beatles were messengers sent by God...

  7. You should come clean about what you know regarding iamaphoney, Jude/Queen of Cosmania.

  8. Since Sgt. Pepper represents the Beatles at their peak, it's no surprise that Macca would constantly refer back to it. He wants you to think of him in that context, rather than the context of Silly Love Songs, or Bip Bob. He knows what butters the bread of his legacy, and knows his PR well.

As for what the album cover is saying, I am venturing that it is not quite a funeral, but cynically anticipates one. On 9/11/66, Brian Epstein held a press conference to announce that The Beatles will cease touring. He took it to be the end of his career, and, as such, died on that day.

  9. Maybe Iamaphoney learned it off the kids on Zoom? Oh no!

  10. Vince here,
A little 'off-topic' , but a little something on "Love is the CODE":

On the Super Furry Animals DVD version of "Rings Around The World", the track, "Run Christian Run" features tons of 'fun facts' on not only the absurdity of religion, but details on how many people, throughout time, have been killed in the name of JESUS.
After this parade of sadness, a quote from the book of John appears in big letters on the screen:

    GOD IS LOVE!

I would assume the point the band's trying to make is that God is not even 'watching us'; it's just a feeling.

My mind also drifts towards the movie "The Green Mile", when John Coffee says, "They kill with their love.", as we what he sees.

I know nothing I've written has anything to do with The Beatles, but I thought these 'ideas' would be of interest to y'all.

    peace.

  11. Just look at the style of editing between the QoC videos and IAAP's. Look at how quick he becomes hostile when anyone criticizes IAAP's work.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Just look how different the style is

    Jude is NOT IAAP

  13. MikeNL: I can't help but agree. :)

  14. Good. That means I don't have to change the name of this blog.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Jude & Mike both apparently know who IAAP is, however, judging from their various forum posts.

Jude collaborated on the QoC hoax.

  16. Nice post! Re phoney: the Charles MAnson references, the clevrly edited Betales songs, Aleister Crowley Thelema blabla, fact and fiction having intercourse with each other, someone suddenly appearing leaving clues in teh real world (?) where have seen this all before? O yeah, the ciw phenomenon http://youtube.com/watch?v=TpHqoy34s2A

  18. D-rug-S

They are screaming at you to pick up the trail.

Ringo's Rotogravure does the same. He shows you a picture of some Beatle graffiti, and provides you with a magnifying glass with which to study it.

Is it any wonder that John was shot, George was stabbed, and lord-knows-what almost happened to Ringo last week?

  19. I have frequently came back to LG15 and her fondness for the fecal-freak crowley too!

  20. I wonder- would McCartney/Apple be within their rights to sue the IAAP for defamation?

I'm not a lawyer, but I can't help but think that the standard fact vs. opinion or 'freedom of speech' grounds for defense might not stand up quite so well in light of all the lunatics that have lashed out against the Beatles in the past.

Judging from recent comments on the IAAP channel, it looks like the Rotten Apple Army has brainwashed at least a handful of new recruits, convinced that the Beatles are emissaries of Satan, serial killers, etc. Manson's apocalyptic theories are being resurrected, and the disease is spreading.

    Let it be?
    Live & let die?
    Tomorrow never knows...

  21. Anonymous last night I watched Chapter 27 and I was shocked to see so much of the online Paul is Dead theory was in Chapman. The Rosemary's Baby stuff, the satan worship stuff, the Beatles sending secret messages to Manson. Not to mention the constant use of the word "phony" to describe John.Mental illness and obsessed fans of rock stars are a bad combination we can all agree.

  24. i have been playing around with mirroring the pepper drum a bit, since it seems to be the key to this whole mystery (and since, really- how many different ways to mirror it could there be?).

several angles of the mirror across the filigree produce an aries "ram" symbol (which, now that i think of it, is also on the back of paul's blue pepper jacket). maybe a nebulous face or two...but i'm missing the larger significance of this.

IAAP has claimed (to at least one YouTube user) that the answer to everything lies in "L bE bb ers" & "DOG" (though i'm not sure if the two are to be combined or are equally significant).

the first seems to refer to the way 'Sgt. Pepper's' from the top half of the drum appears when reflected in the traditional "HE^DIE" configuration.

    HE^DIE

this set of letters is referenced, along with some other letters of indeterminate provenance, at the :50 mark in RA 67 O. the 'mystery' letters may or may not indicate those produced from the lower half of "LONELY HEARTS" (which look something like this to me): COI{ECI HE}{K13.

if we were to take the interpretive leap with this latter set, i'd read them as "COKE CI HEX K13" or "CODEC^ HEXXI3"...for whatever that's worth.

i am interested to know if this russian pepper drum was approved by any of the people involved with the original (i really doubt, it but who knows? maybe it's another hint at something).

then there's this other pepper drumhead, supposedly a preliminary draft for the one we all know and love (and obsess over). imo, if the beatles actually embedded a clue in the letters, you'd think it would be in the ones that stayed the same between the drafts- LONELY HEARTS (or L1LY HEARTS?).

the second clue, 'DOG', is 'GOD' reversed (which brings to my mind Yeats' Golden Dawn name "Daemon est Deus inversus" and the hermetic image of Adam Kadmon). again, i'm missing the larger connection here.

i can entertain the notion that perhaps the hidden clue requires some sort of anamorphic mirror usage, but it seems a stretch...

finally, the pièce de résistance: putting the mirror (reflective side facing left) vertically through the 'O' of 'LONELY' reveals a vesica pisces marked 'LOL'. lennon surely intended this clue to hint at his secret christhood. :P

that's all i got. there's an outtake of the pepper photo session where paul sort of seems to be imitating the baphomet, but i can't find it atm. i hope IAAP enjoys me finding new material for him. wanker.

    ReplyDelete
  25. ...ooops, i forgot to muse about whether or not we should try to find a "dovetail joint" in our reflections upon the mirror. it's not too difficult to produce the masonic square symbol using various reflections of the LONELY HEARTS banding, but the letters as such don't seem to create much of anything to me. (maybe 'DNA' from the word 'BAND'? 'SOS' from "Sgt"?)

more phoney fodder, in any case. you're welcome.

    ReplyDelete
  26. ...one more: i haven't tried it, but perhaps something might come from this hoary chestnut from the tinfoil beanie crowd...

the letters to 'MASON' on the dollar bill's pyramid seal can be linked by a pentagram.

what, if anything, happens in this regard on the pepper drum? are 'TESLA' and/or 'LILY' clues?

  27. To May 11 anonymous,

Thanks for providing so much to explore and ponder. I thought of it, but didn't suggest the aries (Ram) symbol on Paul's back because I was starting to see it everywhere from the Sgt. Pepper stripes, to Paul's back hairline on "Back in the U.S." to Paul's crossed legs on the Sgt. Pepper inside gate fold, to the fake mustache. That's why I needed a day off.

Question: Do they celebrate Mother's Day in England? If so, is it on the same day as in the U.S.? Would an Englishman who travels to America regularly add "Happy Mother's Day" to an internet posting or would that be like an American saying "Happy Boxing Day?" Just wondering.

    Too much coincidence? :S

  29. I've always thought the statues in this photo were evocative of the Pepper statue (and the band-watching-the-band doubling effect might be hinted at too, although more subtly):

    HEY JUDE

    On another track...

The photo used for the yellow submarine single is odd in how much emphasis is put on Paul and John's hand gestures (which might, respectively, be "OK" and "I LOVE YOU" or else two variations on the ol' "666"...
