Follow the Beatle

Paul is Dead - 36 - Follow the Beatle by grandfatheraleister may seem a little over the top with its claim of significance for all kinds of Volkswagen appearances in movies over the years, but the prominence of the VW Beatle in the Official Beatles endorsed Las Vegas show "Love" makes it fair game.

    I think it may be in the Love show because it was the most popular car of the 1960's (even Disney found a way to turn the VW into the "Love Bug"). You don't see too many of them on the road now. Do they still make them? They were great cars! Beatles Love show....Volkswagen Beetle known as the "Love Bug". It doesn't take a genius to make the connection.

    It's the name: Beetle = Beatle

    The The First generation style Beetle was manufactured in Mexico until 2003.

    Anonymous is probably right that the Bug is in the show because it is virtually synonymous with the 60s, not to mention they were "Beetles" and the VW on the cover of Abbey Road is iconic.

    Not red, not blue, not black, or purple, or green, not yellow or pink, or rainbow, or silver, or gold, not checkered, or zebra striped, or pinstriped or mirrored.....or any other variation. When it really matters. It's just white.

    Normally Tafultong provides the obvious reasoning in his posts and then leaves the door open for the more outlandish theories. That appears to be his style. This time he totally missed out on the VW Beetle, Herbie the Love Bug, Love show, the definitive 60's car, etc.

    Maybe he wrote it in a hurry.

    GFA should stop embarrassing himself and stop making videos, time for you to retire gramps, sit on the porch, drink a Mint Julep or whatever old silly people drink.

    here is a recipe for you, to get started

    4 fresh mint sprigs
    2 1/2 oz bourbon whiskey
    1 tsp powdered sugar
    2 tsp water

    Muddle mint leaves, powdered sugar, and water in a collins glass. Fill the glass with shaved or crushed ice and add bourbon. Top with more ice and garnish with a mint sprig. Serve with a straw.
