Twin Freaks/Twin Peaks

New Grandfather Aleister Video Paul is Dead - 35 - Twin Freaks

Here is the description:

Twin Freaks/Twin Peaks

Hank Worden More & Carel Struycken

Carel Struycken played "The Brute" in 1978 Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts club band
He played the "Giant" in 1990 Twin Peaks

Hank Worden More played a member of the band in 1978 Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts club band
He played "Senor Droolcup" in 1990 Twin Peaks

@4:12 - Sgt Pepper movie showcases a "red beetle" - more on this later on in the series

@4:20 - Sgt Pepper movie showcases a "yellow beetle". A yellow beetle Volkswagen is also showcased in the movie "The Shining" by Stanely Kubrick. The novel for the movie "The Shining" was inspired by John Lennon's song "Instant Karma"(the line "and we all shine on!")
Now what in the world is Jack Nicholson doing here? More on this later on in the series......

@4:30 - Twin Peaks showcases a "white beetle". From the pilot episode
White beetles are used extensively in the movie "Rosemary's Baby" directed by Roman Polanski

@4:55 - Paul McCartney - Back in the U.S.
More interesting hand signs that you may have seen used elsewhere

@5:17 - Paul uses Magritte in Back in the USA

@5:42 - Hey Jude! Hey Jack! Naaa naaa naa na!
Why Jack Nicholson? Down the rabbit hole later in the series....

Notice what hand sign is used to represent "Love of Money"....

  16. "where does that quote come from mik - love of money?"

1 Timothy 6:10 (from the Bible):

"For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows."

  20. Maybe it'll boost sales of the Twin Peaks DVD set. The show was a cult phenomenon for a few months but then fell out of favor as soon as the Laura Palmer murder case was solved and the Cooper/Audrey romance was abandoned. Lost, a dumbed down cult phenom by the way, rips this show off so much they ought to start sending checks to David Lynch and Mark Frost.

  36. I know you're reading this GFA and that you're a big Rosemary's Baby fan. Often this movie is bust out to show that Polanski was a witch? a Satan worshipper? same goes for the whole crew?

That's called not knowing your cultural history.

Rosemary's Baby and the flood of "demon seed" movies that came out right after it was a meditation on the "pill" and how science was at the time tampering in reproduction. Aside from the Vietnam war, feminism and birth control was THE story of the late 60's. It's as much a product of the pill as "big bug" movies of the 50's were a product of A-bomb and radiation fear or the unexpected resurgence of Vampire movies the late 80's and early 90's in the aftermath of AIDS awareness.

Horror films are allegories. Modern day parables. To not understand this is to only look at the surface and not peek behind the curtain. With the rise of the internet and mainstream acceptance of fringe conspiracy theories, do you think it's a coincidence that we suddenly got The Matrix, Conspiracy Theory and Eyes Wide Shut?

    Think.

Counting VWs of a Twin Peak sage -

Picking up clues and spooky Faul chords
Nicholson Tales on The Overlook boards
Tell me, I'm Phoney, what can it mean?

  38. "DID YOU KNOW, that when Gail Zappa was in kindergarden, she hit Jim Morrison in the head with a hammer!"

    That explains a lot.

  39. I've wondered about the grandfatheraleister name since it appeared.

Most likely a reference to the seemingly far-fetched but chillingly possible speculation that Crowley may have been the father of Barbara (yuk) Bush the elder.

Or...McCartney's mum was a midwife. Crowley was in England and presumably capable of siring a child, if such occured most likely an illegitimate one. Kindly, and so far childless, midwife on the scene decides to...hmmm.

I think that bizarre scenario was sparked by Taf's recent post about the two Crowley images at the Pepper photo shoot, and the reference to the younger one looking too much like Paul.

    Care to comment GFA?

Consider yourself backed up. However, there do exist some discrepancies between sung lyrics and published lyrics as well as between Paul's comments and actual events.
